Research & Development
Research and Development have played a significant role in meeting all Customer requirements related to quality of examination technology in accordance with relevant standards.
The main activities of INETEC-Institute for Nuclear Technology Research and Development are:
- Development of examination systems for special NDE applications for in-service inspection of nuclear, thermal, hydro power plants and other industrial applications. This includes research & development of robots, manipulators and tools, probe design, plug and plugging system and technique, appropriate examination technique and methods, development of control-systems and software development.
- Development of remedial actions on the main components of (reactor pressure vessel, reactor pressure vessel head, steam generator) nuclear power plants.
- Evaluation of component structural integrity such as analysis of component integrity (analytical and numerical analysis through the application of fracture mechanics principles), evaluation of NDE findings, establishing plugging criteria for SG tubes and laboratory work related to structural integrity.
