INSPECTION OF REACTOR PRESSURE VESSEL
INTRODUCTION
• INETEC provides high quality, competitively priced nondestructive testing products and inspection services • INETEC has entered world industry with the extensive Reactor Pressure Vessel Inservice Inspection (RPV-ISI) experience gained through inspections of Reactor Pressure Vessel
(RPV) in the PWR or VVER nuclear power plants (NPP) • INETEC RPV-ISI examination system is capable of performing remote under water ultrasonic testing using contact technique, eddy current testing, visual testing, local grinding action as well as taking of boat samples.
OBJECTIVES OF RPV-ISI
• To reduce on-vessel time • To minimize usage of polar crane • To assemble tool in a few hours • To perform reliable inspections • To perform contact ultrasonic, eddy current and visual inspection according to applicable standard(s) (ASME, PK-1514/72 ...) o RPV Shell circumferential and longitudinal welds o Lower head welds o Inlet and Outlet nozzle-to-shell welds and inner radius areas o Inlet and Outlet nozzle-to-safe end welds and safe end-to-pipe welds o Ligaments between the thread flange holes o RPV supports o Interior surfaces • To reach Customer satisfaction
