CEO Biography
Ph.D Dusko Corak was named head of INETEC-Institute for Nuclear Technology in 1991. In that role, Dr. Corak is responsible for the development of all business plans for INETEC-Institute for Nuclear Technology long-term operating strategy and leading the strategic components of the INETEC-Institute for Nuclear Technology initiatives. INETEC-Institute for Nuclear Technology has conducted business in many countries of the world.
Prior to the appointment at INETEC-Institute for Nuclear Technology, Dr. Corak was head of the nuclear and thermal power department in the Electric Power Research Institute in Zagreb, where he began in 1973. Since then he has been involved in arrangements and construction of thermal and nuclear power plants. In most power plants in Croatia and the Republics of Former Yugoslavia, which have been constructed since 1970, Dr. Corak has given a significant contribution.
Dr. Corak received a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering in 1967, Master's degree from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in 1972, and doctorate at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in 1977.
Since 1981, Dr. Corak, who is also scientific councillor, has held classes on the subject of "Nuclear Power Plants" at the University in Zagreb, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture.
Dr. Corak has published over fifty expert and scientific articles in different journals and at conventions in Croatia and abroad. He is the author of more than seventy essays in the fields of energy and nuclear science.
Today, INETEC-Institute for Nuclear Technology has a cooperation with many leading institutions in the world which participate in safety of nuclear power plants, such as IAEA, NRC, EPRI, Kurcatov Institute and others. In recognition of its work, INETEC-Institute for Nuclear Technology is coordinating several projects that are under the aegis of IAEA. Many international meetings of experts, as well as seminars, workshops, courses for people from all over the world are organized by INETEC-Institute for Nuclear Technology. All above mentioned items have been successful, in part, as a result of the expert supervision and leadership of Dr. Corak.
